What Colugo is
Colugo (colugo.app) is a task tracking and prioritization tool for financial advisors, operated by Opus Automations. This policy explains what data we handle and why. Colugo is free while in beta; we do not run ads and we do not sell your data.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign up, our authentication provider (Clerk) processes your email address, name, and sign-in credentials. We store your email, name, and a reference to your account.
- Content you create. Tasks, notes, priorities, due dates, meeting links, and your Calendly URL are stored in our database so the product can function.
- Cookies. We use session cookies for authentication (set by Clerk) and one functional cookie that remembers your timezone so dates display correctly. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Google user data
If you connect Google, Colugo requests access to your Google Calendar events (scope: calendar.events). We use this access only to:
- create, update, and delete calendar events that correspond to tasks you explicitly choose to sync, and
- attach a Google Meet link to such an event when you request one.
We store only the identifier of each event we create and, if you request a Meet link, that link — never the contents of your wider calendar. We do not read, store, or analyze your other calendar events. Access tokens are managed by Clerk and are not stored in our database. You can disconnect Google at any time from your account settings, which stops all calendar access.
Colugo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How we use information
Solely to provide the product: authenticate you, store and display your tasks, sync the tasks you choose to your calendar, and embed your Calendly page. We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except the service providers below.
Service providers
- Clerk — authentication and Google account connection.
- Railway — application hosting and database.
- Google — calendar sync and Meet links, when you connect it.
- Calendly — only if you embed your own booking page.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is retained while your account is active. Deleting a task deletes it from our database (and removes its synced calendar event, if any). To delete your account and all associated data, use your account settings or email us — we will complete deletion within 30 days.
Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Data is stored in access-controlled infrastructure. Authentication secrets never leave our server environment.
Changes and contact
We will update this page if our practices change and revise the date above. Questions or requests: tony@opusautomations.com.
